Human Weapon - Ninjitsu

Monday, June 27, 2011 5:21 PM

In the ultimate search for a HUMAN WEAPON, mixed martial artist Jason Chambers and football pro Bill Duff put their bodies on the line as they train in the most lethal forms of combat before going toe-to-toe with masters of each fighting style.

They travel back to Japan to learn Ninjutsu. They learn different weapons that the ninja used, as well as tactics & warfare.

They are studying under Masaaki Hatsumi.

According to Wikipedia.

Masaaki Hatsumi is the 34th ninjutsu Soke, or Grandmaster, and founder of the Bujinkan Organization, currently residing and teaching in the city of Noda, Chiba, Japan.[3] He is also a doctor of orthopedics, specializing in the mending of bones.

Beginning in childhood, Masaaki Hatsumi studied several popular martial arts. After teaching martial arts to the U.S. soldiers stationed in Japan he noticed that the larger and stronger Americans had an advantage in bouts when using the same techniques. [5]He began to question the legitimacy of modern martial arts training and started to search for an art where persons of equal skill truly were equals, even if the other one was more muscular. It was after this time, while studying the ancient Japanese weaponry of the Masaki Ryu under Yumio Nawa, that he learned of ninjutsu and a martial artist named Toshitsugu Takamatsu who was proficient in this art. In 1957 he and Fukumoto Yoshio began making regular trips to train with his new teacher (who resided at the time in Kashiwabara, in Nara), taking a 15-hour train ride from his hometown of Noda in Chiba. This training continued for 15 years until the passing of Toshitsugu Takamatsu in 1972.

It must be awesome to learn to be a ninja, but it's pretty deadly by the looks of it. Every maneuver results in a killing blow.

Water Powered Car

Saturday, June 25, 2011 6:18 PM

I saw a TV show when I was in high school about Filipino inventor Daniel Dingel who invented a car that runs on water. I don't know where he is now or what happened to this invention. I don't even know if this is for real. All I remember was that nobody in the government helped him put this to market. It would be cool if it was for real and we could actually get a car that runs on water.

Here's more video about Daniel Dingel and his water powered car shot in 2007.

Who's The National Hero Of The Philippines?

Friday, June 24, 2011 3:26 PM

We all know that Dr. Jose Rizal is the National Hero of the Philippines right? Well, according to Pulse Asia which conducted a survey recently shows that 2.8% of the population, 3.8% in Mindanao believes the National Hero is Manny Pacquiao.

Check out this report.

I understand mistaking Andres Bonifacio or Emilio Aguinaldo. But what about Pacquiao and the Aquinos? Even the current President was thought to be the National Hero.

The DepEd has a lot of teaching to do.

Best Divorce Letter Ever!

11:09 AM

Dear Wife,

I’m writing you this letter to tell you that I’m leaving you forever. I’ve been a good man to you for 7 years & I have nothing to show for it. These last 2 weeks have been hell. Your boss called to tell me that you quit your job today & that was the last straw. Last week, you came home & didn’t even notice I had a new haircut, had cooked your favorite meal & even wore a brand new pair of silk boxers. You ate in 2 minutes, & went straight to sleep after watching all of your soaps. You don’t tell me you love me anymore; you don’t want sex or anything that connects us as husband & wife. Either you’re cheating on me or you don’t love me anymore; whatever the case, I’m gone.

Your EX-Husband

P.S. don’t try to find me. Your SISTER & I are moving away to West Virginia together! Have a great life!

==================

Dear Ex-Husband,

Nothing has made my day more than receiving your letter. It’s true you & I have been married for 7 years, although a good man is a far cry from what you’ve been. I watch my soaps so much because they drown out your constant whining & griping. Too bad that doesn’t work. I DID notice when you got a hair cut last week, but the 1st thing that came to mind was ‘You look just like a girl!’ Since my mother raised me not to say anything if you can’t say something nice, I didn’t comment. And when you cooked my favorite meal, you must have gotten me confused with MY SISTER, because I stopped eating pork 7 years ago.

About those new silk boxers: I turned away from you because the $49.99 price tag was still on them, & I prayed it was a coincidence that my sister had just borrowed $50 from me that morning. After all of this, I still loved you & felt we could work it out. So when I hit the lotto for 10 million dollars, I quit my job & bought us 2 tickets to Jamaica But when I got home you were gone.

Everything happens for a reason, I guess. I hope you have the fulfilling life you always wanted. My lawyer said that the letter you wrote ensures you won’t get a dime from me. So take care.

Signed,

Your Ex-Wife, Rich As Hell & Free!

P.S. I don’t know if I ever told you this, but my sister Carla was born Carl. I hope that’s not a problem.

Proud To Be Pinoy? Dont Be, Here's Why...

Wednesday, June 22, 2011 4:46 PM

I saw this video on Youtube.

Here's the description.

Do you love shouting "PROUD TO BE PINOY" everytime Manny Pacquiao wins a boxing match, or when Charice Pempengco sings infront of millions of americans? Well, you should think before you do. Manny and Charice's achievements are possible only because they worked hard to attain them. We have nothing to do with it. Were just riding along and stealing the limelight from them because secretly, we know we dont have pride and dignity. 25 years of putting up with this miserable life brought about by "So called" freedom. The Aquino Legacy so they say.

Well guess what? Its only the Rich and Wealthy like the Cojuango-Aquinos-Lopezes who are truly enjoying freedom and democracy. But the rest of us are merely sucking it up. Trying to deny that Philippines is just a 3RD WORLD COUNTRY being overtaken by Vietnam and Indonesia. MEDIA is the drug that helps you forget this fact. Stupid telenovelas and stupid newsreporting is your daily diet. Dumbing down the entire Filipino nation. Making them easy to control during election times.

The sad state of the Philippines is being covered up by the media, blaming its poor citizens who commits crime fueled by hunger. While the same media glorifies People Power Revolution. A supposed revolution attended by only 2% of the population.

By informing the entire Philippine Population of the real state of our country, it will be easy to pursue real change in society because we will have the support of the masses. Changes in the current system cannot be stalled by Media and the Oligarchs if this happens.

We are not proposing to eliminate the members of Oligarchy, all we ask for is a chance for every Filipino to live decently. A person can only go as far as OPPORTUNITY permits it. If there is no opportunity, then there is no progress. Opportunity HERE in the Philippines, not ABROAD. No more separation of families.

Yes to Economic Liberalization and decentralization of Imperial Manila. Switch to PARLIAMENTARY-FEDERALISM.

Rectify the flawed 1987 C.O.R.Y. Constitution. A constitution protecting RICH FAMILIES. A constitution responsible for the alarming increase of Filipinos living in Poverty.

This Filipino Visual artpiece is created, authored and directed by a conservative Filipino citizen, residing in the Philippines. The director/author/owner of the video does not intend to offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate his fellow Filipinos or any particular Filipino individual. We are not promoting hatred, violence and discrimination towards our own race. Nor do we promote stereotyping and denigration against any Filipino Individual.

The primary purpose of this video is to RAISE AWARENESS amongst the poor and underpriviledged citizens of the Philippines. Due to their lack of education, they have limited grasp of sophisticated terminologies which prompted the author to use BASIC FILIPINO TAGALOG STREET WORDS such as "Bobo" and "Ignorante" which means "Dull minded" and "Uninformed" respectively, to appeal to the masses.

The objective of the director/author/owner of the video is to promote an intelligent and civilized discussion about rectifying the flawed provisions of the Philippine's 1987 Constitution. Provisions that promote a protectionist government where only a few number of rich families benefit while the entire populace of the Philippines is mired in POVERTY, MEDIOCRITY and constant SUFFERING.

The opinion of the director/author/owner of the video is similar to the opinion of a growing number of disillusioned Filipinos who simply wants to elevate their quality of life and get rid of poverty in our country once and for all by freeing up the economy and attracting foreign direct investments that bring job opportunities to the people. The 1987 constitution is responsible for restricting progress in the Philippines for 25 years. The 1987 Constitution must be rectified. This rectification movement must be supported by the people. But first, the people must be informed. Hence the very PURPOSE OF THIS VIDEO.

This is not Hate Speech. This is not Racial Vilification. We appeal to Youtube administration to understand the political and economic situation of our country the Philippines and the benefit we will get by informing the public.

Pinoy Urban Legends

3:33 PM

I was talking to a friend about urban legends in the Philippines and I decided to compile a list of legends I've heard before.

Robinson's Mall half-man half-snake
It was rumored that one of Gokongwei's child who is the twin brother of daughter Robina was born a mutant, a half-man half-snake named Robinson. The mall was built so that Robinson can have a place to hunt. The rumor goes that if you visit the mall, you should be careful when entering the fitting room as you may never come out because you'll fall into a trap door and be eaten by the mutant. This is especially so if you happen to be a woman or child

Pusa sa siopao (cat in steamed bun)
There was rumor that one of the shops in Ongpin (Chinatown) was selling siopao (steamed bun) using cat meat. Instead of the usual pork, they used cat they found along the street. Ewww...

White Lady at Balete Drive
According to Wikipedia.

Balete Drive is a street located in New Manila, Quezon City, Philippines. It is known for apparitions of a white lady and haunted houses which were built during the Spanish Era (19th century).

New Manila has an abundance of balete trees, which, according to legend, is a favorite spot of wandering spirits and other paranormal beings. Paranormal experts believe that the white lady was raped by Japanese soldiers during the Second World War, which differs from the movie (see below).

Witnesses of the white lady, advise motorists to avoid the street at night, especially if they are alone. If it is necessary to travel the route, they advise that the backseat of the car is fully occupied and that no one should look back or look in any mirrors. The apparition wears a night gown, has long hair but has no face or one covered with blood.

Bongbong Marcos is not the real Bongbong Marcos
The son of Ferdinand Marcos, Bongbong Marcos was rumored to have died while he was in London as a teenager when he was stabbed in a fight. After his death, they searched for a replacement and had that person undergo plastic surgery to replace Bongbong.

Of course, Bongbong Marcos denies this in recent interviews.

Manananggal

A Manananggal is a mythical creature in the Philippines described as being a hideous, scary vampire-like creature (as opposed to an aswang), capable of severing its upper torso in order to fly into the night with huge bat-like wings to prey on unsuspecting, pregnant women in their homes; using an elongated proboscis-like tongue, it sucks the hearts of fetuses or the blood of an unsuspecting, sleeping victim.

This legend used to come out every election time. Whenever there's an election, there's always a rumor that a manananggal is roaming the city looking for pregnant women to eat their fetus.

The manananggal is popular in the Visayan region especially in Capiz, Iloilo and Antique.

Manila Film Center Tregedy
This is not really a legend since it actually happened. But the story about the haunting is the legend.

It was told that Imelda Marcos had the grandiose notion of turning the Philippines into the Cannes of Asia by starting an international film festival. They decided the venue to be held beside the Cultural Center of the Philippines and had a date set for January 18, 1982.

Despite the downhill trend of the Philippine economy, Imelda plodded along with her grandiose schemes. She also ignored some bad omens. When she first decided to launch her International Film Festival, she had built a huge building that was designed on the lines of the Parthenon.

As usual with her last-minute projects, the building was still under completion when it was nearing time for the festival, and construction was rushed, round the clock. The cement was not given time to dry properly. On November 17, 1981 shortly before 3:00 a.m., an entire floor collapsed and caved in on the floor below. According to the Marcos-controlled press, 28 workers were killed in the accident. Rumor had it than 168 had died.

Betty Benitez (wife of Imelda’s Assistant Minister, Conrado Benitez), who was in charge of the project for the First Lady, was called to the scene. The mothers and wives of the men who died had come to claim the bodies. But the building was due to open for the festival, and Betty ordered, “Pour the cement.” The bodies of the dead workers were thus covered over so that the relatives could not claim them. The women put a curse on her.

A few months later Betty Benitez was herself killed in bizarre accident. She was a passenger in a car driven by O. D. Corpus, a former president of the University of the Philippines. They were on their way to Tagaytay at night. (It was never made clear why they were out driving in the middle of the night away from their respective spouses and families.) Betty was killed instantly when the car ran off the road on a curve and smashed into a tree. Corpus survived.

Manilans soon said the film festival building was haunted, and many refused to work there or go inside to see films. Imee Marcos called in a medium, who was said to be able to communicate with the dead, and brought him to the film festival building. The medium went into a trance. Normally, he spoke only in his native dialect. But in the trance, he suddenly spoke on in English: ‘Now there are 169,’ he intoned. ‘Betty is with us.’

Here's a video of the opening of the Manila International Film Festival but it's in Italian.

Vancouver Riot After NHL Loss

10:01 AM

Some of you have probably heard this on the news. After the Vancouver Canucks lost to the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup finals yesterday. A few fans in Vancouver started a riot and burned two police cars and smashed the windows of several banks and department stores.

Here's a video I found taken by a spectator.

Here are some photos taken by friends.

Frankly, I'm amazed at how stupid some people can be. They will use any excuse to start a riot. This is the reason why the Canucks will never will the Stanley Cup.

By the way, most of these photos have been circulated on Facebook and some are even bragging on Facebook that they were the ones who burned the cars on Facebook. Just make it easier for the cops to arrest them.

Here are some photos of the aftermath.

Clearly, some people need to get a life. It's just a hockey game.

And finally, a guy standing up for what's right.

What It's Like To Work For Google

Tuesday, June 14, 2011 3:20 PM

An inside look on what it's like to work at Google. The perks and amenities for the employees cost millions. I'm sure a lot of companies especially Philippine companies (not all) would never imagine doing this, yet Google employees are one of the most productive in the industry.

If you know of any Philippine companies that does something similar, please drop me a comment and let me know what company and what perks they offer their employees.

Stephen Colbert Thanks LeBron James for Being So Classy and Modest

1:27 PM

Of course with the loss of the Miami Heat to the Dallas Mavericks, there's no end to the jokes about LeBron James and how he handled his defeat.

This episode from Stephen Colbert talks about the Miami Heat as "America's Sweetheart Team" and referred to LeBron's humble beginnings at the start of the season. He also mentioned how LeBron handled the defeat with class.

Funniest Jokes About LeBron James

Monday, June 13, 2011 3:47 PM

A lot of jokes about LeBron James came out after the Miami Heat lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals. Here are the funniest I've seen:

"I heard Dallas is so excited about winning their first NBA title that they're having LeBron James Day tomorrow. Everybody gets off of work 12 minutes early tomorrow."

"I asked LeBron for change for a dollar. He gave me 75 cents and said, "Sorry, I don't have a 4th quarter."

"Verizon announced they have partnered with James on a new phone. The special feature: viabrate mode only - it has no ring."

"The real reason why LeBron James skipped college and went straight to the NBA, because he never would have showed up for the Finals."

LeBron James MVP! Most Vanishing Player!

"And yet, when I woke up today, I still had the same number of NBA championship rings as LeBron..." (after LeBron tells fans who rooted against him to get over it.)

A wife tells her husband “I want to name our son LeBron James.” The husband replies “I don’t like it. It just doesn’t have a ring to it.”

Why does LeBron only get served boneless buffalo wings? Because he has a tendency to choke.

LeBron James was just traded to the Florida Panthers. He should be wildly sucessful, since in the NHL, there are only 3 periods.

I was taking an exam yesterday and my phone went off. The teacher told me to put it on "Lebron Mode", I said Wha?...She said without the ring.

It was a sweet game to watch.

LeBron James to Haters - I'm Still Rich Bitch!

12:09 PM

After the crushing defeat by the Miami Heat to the Dallas Mavericks in a 105-95. I was interested to hear what the Miami Heat would say in the post game interview. I expected Miami to congratulate the Mavs for a job well done. But as expected, LeBron "the King" James can always be expected the say the wrong things at the right time.

When a reporter asked him whether it bothers him at a lot of people are happy to see him fail. He answered,

"Absolutely not, because at the end of the day, all the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day, they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today," James said. "They have the same personal problems they had today. I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that.

"They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they have to get back to the real world at some point."

LeBron has a six-year $110 million contract with the Heat.

Compare that to what Dwyane Wade said in the interview. It's absolute night and day and just goes to show you how mature LeBron is.

LeBron basically said that all the haters still have to live their miserable lives, but I'm still rich, bitch!

It's just sad that Wade has to be infected by LeBron's ego. While I was not impressed by how LeBron decided to move to Miami doing a one hour special. I was quite surprised they even got to the finals after their horrible start in the early season. I was interested in seeing Miami Heat win the finals because they did have three superstars. But after seeing all the antics of LeBron making fun of Nowitski and all the arrogance on how he'll bring a championship to Miami, I quickly changed my mind and hope they got their butts kicked.

Dwyane Wade could have wont the championship to Miami on his own. LeBron was the person that held them back. He's a choker and this series confirms that he chokes in big games as he did back in Cleveland. He blames that his team mates doesn't pick up the slack for him back Cleveland. No LeBron, it's not your team mates, it's just you.

Stay classy LeBron. Stay classy.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade Mocks Dirk Nowitzki's Illness

Friday, June 10, 2011 7:02 PM

I found this video of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade making fun of Dirk Nowitzki by pretending to cough and wheeze after practice. Dirk Nowitzki who played with 100 degree fever on game 4 beat the Miami Heat.

Dirk may be sick, but at least he played until the end. Unlike LeBron who disappeared.

It's no wonder people don't like the Miami Heat. I used to admire Dwyane Wade because he's a really amazing player. But ever since LeBron moved to Miami, LeBron's childish behavior is really making a bad influence.

By the way, Dallas Mavericks won game 5 giving them a 3-2 lead against Miami Heat in the NBA Finals.

Karma's a bitch.

The Future For The Philippine Economy

1:57 PM

We have been in a global financial crisis since 2008 and luckily, the Philippines was pretty much spared. Except for exporters to the United States, the Philippine economy in general was largely spared from the crisis unlike Europe and the US.

The Philippine economy however is hardly what you would call great. Unlike China and other countries in Asia, the poverty rate is still rising and the only people making real money are the ones who are already rich.

The majority of Filipino students wants to go into nursing or call center jobs. The hopes of going abroad has diverted a lot of students from studying to be engineers, architects or pharmacist. But because of the bad US economy, a lot of nurses are unable to go abroad and find work now.

If you look at the Philippines economy, it has gone from agriculture, to manufacturing to a service economy.

During the Ramos administration, a lot of land was sold because of a real estate bubble and most of these land was converted into subdivisions, factories and golf courses. Because of this, most farm lands was lost and people moved into cities in the hopes of finding work.

We then saw a trend where we lost a lot of manufacturing jobs to Thailand, Indonesia and China where there were hardly any unions and cheaper labor cost. It's no wonder we see Colgate made in Thailand or Vietnam now instead of in the Philippines. When the Philippines was entered into the WTO in 1995, it became cheaper to import goods than to manufacture them in the country.

Because we can no longer compete in manufacturing to export, the citizens turned to the service economy and OFW became our major export. But as you can see, even if you export people, if the cost to export or the country you're exporting to cannot afford the goods anymore, then you lose the ability to export those goods or people.

So what is the point of this rambling? I'm making a case for what I think would be the future for the Philippine economy.

To make money in investing, you should find the place where there is the lowest number of people going in, where people see no more future but there is something secular that is happening that will turn that investment around. So what is that investment? I believe it is in agriculture.

Why agriculture? Ask yourself this question, how many students do you know want to become a biologist or into agricultural engineering? How many people do you know want to become a farmer? None.

We've lost so much agricultural land to mining and golf courses, that there's very little land that can be used to grow crops.

However, if you look at the global trend, there are more and more people being born. China alone is now importing more food instead of exporting them. Thailand and Vietnam continue to export rice while the Philippines is importing rice. Almost every year we hear of a possible rice shortage.

I know that this alone is not enough to make the case for agriculture. But look at this. Our agricultural economy has been going down for more than 20 years. The economic cycle of commodities is around 20 years and you are starting to hear a lot of talk about potential shortages in food around the world.

Look at this historical chart for sugar. Around 1975, sugar prices hit over $65/lb. Then it went down for about 5 years until it hit around $45/lb. After that, sugar market was in a 20 year bear market and only started going up around 2004. Just when China was beginning to emerge as a global powerhouse.

Chart courtesy of www.sharelynx.com
Another interesting thing about the chart is that if you look at the green volume chart, you can see that sugar hit highs of $45 and $65 with less than 1/10th of the volume we are seeing now.

Why is that? The Chinese who are becoming more wealthy will now want to experience the joy of eating better food and luxury foods like cakes, colas, juices, candies and other fine desserts. When they were poor, they did not have the money to buy those things. This is changing now. Sugar prices now is only at $20/lb. It has a long way to go to $45 and potentially go up even higher.

Sugar alone could make a lot of farmers a lot of money in exports. We haven't even talked about rice and other agricultural products.

The Chinese have always been great farmers, but a lot of their land has been converted into highways and cities as well. There are now a lot less farm lands in China. You can be the best farmer in the world, but you can't plant anything on concrete.

I believe agriculture is one of the areas where the Philippine economy can excel and bring a lot of jobs to the people. Farming is never a glamorous job, but as they always say. People always have to eat.

Huge Solar Flare Eruption on 7 June 2011

12:26 PM

Jun 7, 2011 - The Sun unleashed an M-2 (medium-sized) solar flare with a substantial coronal mass ejection (CME) on June 7 that is visually spectacular. The large cloud of particles mushroomed up and fell back down looking as if it covered an area of almost half the solar surface.

SDO observed the flare's peak at 1:41 AM EST. SDO recorded these images in extreme ultraviolet light and they show a very large explosion of cool gas. It is somewhat unique because at many places in the eruption there seems to be even cooler material -- at temperatures less than 80,000K.

When viewed in SOHO's coronagraphs, the event shows bright plasma and high-energy particles roaring from the Sun. This Earth-directed CME is moving at 1400 km/s according to NASA models. Due to its angle, however, effects on Earth should be fairly small. Nevertheless, it may generate space weather effects here on Earth [on Wednesday, June 8, 2011]..

Steve Jobs Presents Spaceship Campus

Wednesday, June 08, 2011 12:12 PM

Steve Jobs is presenting to the Cupertino City Council Apple's plan to build a spaceship like campus that will hold up to 12,000 employees.

The new campus when completed would consist of 80% landscaping. Apple is planning to supply their own power to the building with the city grid as backup.

The whole building will be made of curved all around and there would be no straight piece of glass in the whole building. It will be four stories high to preserve the "human scale" of the campus.

A Preview of Microsoft Windows 8

10:18 AM

Microsoft introduced it's new Windows 8 at the D: All Things Digital Conference taking place in Los Angeles.

The new Windows 8 will be an OS that will be used for desktops, laptops and tablet devices. Yes, one OS for all devices.

One thing you'll notice is that the interface is completely redesigned and has none of the familiar looks of previews Windows. It makes it completely friendly for touch devices.

Here's a preview video.

What do you think? I kind of like it. I haven't been excited with a Windows product for a long time. But if they can execute this and make it run as smooth as they're showing, I think it will be a hit.

OSNews.com has a good article about Windows 8 which explains why it would be the Windows we've all been waiting for.

Philippine Business Monopolies

Wednesday, June 01, 2011 1:32 PM

Just read this article on Inquirer.net about Globe complaining that the PLDT and Digitel merger would create a monopoly.

PLDT chair Manuel V. Pangilinan on Tuesday hit out at Globe, accusing the Ayala group of monopolistic business practices.

“PLDT is not allowed to install phone services inside malls and real estate developments (owned by the Ayala group), despite the clamor from their tenants,” Pangilinan said, noting that Globe was allowed to offer telecom services in these areas.

The Ayala group, through its Ayala Land unit, is one of the country’s largest property developers. It operates shopping malls in Metro Manila, Cebu and Pampanga.

It's funny how these big companies fight don't they? They talk about the danger of having a monopoly but all these talk are just of course to protect their business interest. In the end, the consumer ends up with the raw end of the deal.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Monopolies have existed in the Philippines for a long time. In every sector, there's a monopoly. MERALCO for example is a major monopoly. Consumers have no choice on who they want to provide service for their electricity. What happens is MERALCO ends up charging whatever the they want. You can't do anything about it since if you complain or don't pay your bills, they just cut off your electricity.

How about malls? Yes malls like SM and Ayala. SM is the biggest mall monopoly in the country. Think about it, if you have retail business and you want to open a shop, your best bet is to open at an SM mall. If you don't, what are the chances of your business getting the customers you want? Everybody goes to the mall now, nobody goes anywhere else anymore.

Because of this, the business is at the mercy of the malls. If the mall decides they don't want you anymore for any reason whatsoever, you're gone. It could be that they just don't like your face. Granted they probably won't do that, but what's stopping them?

Small businesses tend to die around the area. Traffic is a mess because traffic is re-routed for the benefit of the malls.

Yes, monopolies abound in the Philippines. Too bad no one has any power to do anything about it. It just takes a little money and all the permits are approved to build another mall.
