The Facebook page of ANC 24/7 is asking for its reader's suggestion on how to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem. This got me thinking, "what is the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem?" It's easy to make suggestions, what's hard is the implementation and the cost of implementation. So what is the the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem and the most cost effective solution? Punitive Fines Add caption First of all, any implementation will definitely cost money, a lot of money. The cause of the traffic mess is the people themselves so it's only right that those causing the traffic problem should be fined and the fine should hurt. That way, the fines will pay for the cost of enforcing the law. The fines should start at P500 and goes up every week if you don't pay it within 15 days. I read Conrado de Quiros' column in the Philippine Daily Inquirer all the time. He always writes in English. But he wrote an article the other day in full Tagalog and I must say, that's probably one of the best columns he's written.

Isn't it enough that you left the Philippines because you hate the country so much? Given that that's the case, why not just lay off all in constantly condemning the country of your birth. You're such a hypocrite!

Uh...no. I'm not a hypocrite. If you read my all my postings. I never condemned the Philippines.

I never said I hated the country. In fact, I love the Philippines. The land, the people, the beaches, my friends. What I am condemning is the dumb politicians to wrecked such a beautiful country.

There is a difference between hating the country and hating the people who run the country. Learn to know the difference.

The reason the country is left in ruins by these politicians is because of people like you who keeps saying "lay off them". That's what you get for laying off them. They run all over you.

And you know what? The reason I harp so much about the Philippines is because I care.

The moment I stop caring is the moment I stop talking about the Philippines. Much like you scold a child or teach child not to do things because you care about him. The moment you stop teaching the child is the moment stop caring about the child.

You should learn about that sometimes.

"i dont know anything what's happening in the Phil. , since i live in LA, there's no point of looking back".
