The lights, the atmosphere, the endless shopping, the food, the parties and people enjoying the Christmas spirit. If you've never been to the Philippines, one of the best times to visit is Christmas. Sure, you might experience endless traffic because everybody seems to be out shopping, but that's a small inconvenience compared to what you will experience this time of year. Nobody enjoys Christmas as much as Filipinos do. Make sure you stay until New Year where you'll have people lighting fireworks and making lots of noise. Oh, and make sure you bring loose pants because you'll surely be eating lots of food for days.

Batangas Archbishop Ramon Arguelles yesterday said that while a 20-year-old gunman killed 20 children in the US, President Aquino would be killing millions of children with a stroke of a pen if he signs the RH bill into law. “Our President intends to kill 20 million children with a fountain pen…to sign the RH bill into law,” he said. He said that if this happens, the womb of the mother would no longer be the safest place. “The RH bill is against life (and) so much young blood (would be) shed. From GMA News . Senate Majority Floor Leader Vicente Sotto III on Tuesday apologized for upsetting the Kennedy family but maintained that he did not plagiarize parts of his speeches. In a privilege speech on Tuesday, Sotto answered the allegations made against him by 37 individuals who filed an ethics complaint against him earlier in the day for alleged plagiarism. He reiterated that he never claimed parts of his speech as his own and that he always said he got them from other sources. On October 28th Steve Jobs' envisioned yacht Venus was unveiled in Aalsmeer, The Netherlands. Mitt Romney and Barack Obama was at the Gov. Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation and is organized by the Catholic Archdiocese of New York to benefit needy children at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. I saw this on the Pres. Ferdinand Emmanuel E. Marcos' Facebook Page . It shows the academic achievement of former President Marcos in scoring the highest grade ever achieved in the Bar Exams with a 98.01% average. It also shows the budget of Marcos over 20 years compared to the budget of President Cory Aquino and President Fidel Ramos according to a report by the National Statistic's Office. I'm not sure if those numbers were adjusted for inflation and devaluation, so I won't really put much faith on those number. But it is interesting to know.
