Why Are People Still Supporing Senator Bong Revilla?

As his mugshot was taken, he was also seen smiling like it was a pictorial.

Prior to that, he was seen wearing a T-shirt with the bible verse "The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: What can man do unto me? - Psalm 118:6".

Really? He really thinks that God supports him for stealing millions of funds from the people who are homeless and hungry because of him? Are we to believe that he is innocent that he hasn't stolen a single centavo from the Pork Barrel funds?

What appalls me is that even with all the evidence and knowledge that he stole money from the people. These people still support him.

Why do Filipinos do this? Is it because he's a movie star? Shouldn't the people be cursing him and spitting at him for ruining their lives? As long as we as a nation continue supporting politicians as heroes even when they are found to have stolen from us, we will never become a nation of true progress, justice and equality. As long as we keep worshiping these people, the citizen will always be treated as second class citizens to these politicians.

We never learn.
