The Facebook page of ANC 24/7 is asking for its reader's suggestion on how to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem. This got me thinking, "what is the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem?" It's easy to make suggestions, what's hard is the implementation and the cost of implementation. So what is the the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem and the most cost effective solution? Punitive Fines Add caption First of all, any implementation will definitely cost money, a lot of money. The cause of the traffic mess is the people themselves so it's only right that those causing the traffic problem should be fined and the fine should hurt. That way, the fines will pay for the cost of enforcing the law. The fines should start at P500 and goes up every week if you don't pay it within 15 days. To enforce this and prevent people from ignoring the fine. It will be tied to their driver's license or car registr
MANILA, Philippines (3rd UPDATE) - Brothers of Ramon Tulfo on Monday vowed to exact revenge against celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto for allegedly mauling the columnist in a melee at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Sunday.
Erwin Tulfo said on their T3 show on TV5 that Santiago should expect he and his brothers to go after him. "Abangan mo ang bwelta ng Tulfo brothers," he said.
He also said that Santiago's wife, Claudine, will also feel the Tulfos' wrath.
Ipagdasal mo na lamang huwag tayong magkrus ng landas," he said.
Erwin Tulfo added that his brother would not have been mauled by Santiago's group if he was with his brother.
Either iinterview ako sa loob ng kulungan o iinterview ako, nagsasalita ako ngayon," he said.
He also accused the couple of lying about what transpired at the terminal.
Raffy, another brother of Ramon Tulfo, hurled invectives at Santiago also on T3 and said the actor should hope they they won't meet in public.
He said his brother is an Aikido martial arts expert and wouldn't have been mauled if the fight was one-on-one.
"Sinuwerte lang kayo dahil andami niyo. Huwag lang sana tayong magpang-abot sa mall," he said.
"Idasal mo, hijo de P.I. ka.
Ben Tulfo, meanwhile, challenged Santiago and his companions to a free-for-all.
Tandaan mo ito," he said.
Raymart fears for family
Santiago said he now fears for his family.
Ramon Tulfo, meanwhile, has came to the defense of his brothers for threatening Santiago and Barretto on air.
He said his brothers were merely protecting him because he was the aggrieved party.
Mas malakas ang public opinion kaysa gumanti tayo,” he said.
Ramon Tulfo sues Raymart, Claudine
Ramon has filed charges of grave coercion and physical injury against Santiago and Barretto, as well as a number of their companions, over the brawl at NAIA-3.
Tulfo also blamed NAIA security personnel for the injuries, including a swollen eye, he sustaine.
He appeared before the Pasay prosecutors office on Monday, saying he initially didn't want to file charges against the couple but changed his mind after alleged further verbal abuse from Barreto.
Tulfo said his right temple and jaw are still swelling and also complained of pain in his neck.
He said he only wanted to document Claudine's alleged outburst at an airline employee after their luggage was delayed.
Santiago and Barretto have denied provoking the fight and insisted it was Mon Tulfo who first kicked Barretto. Claudine has also denied cussing at Cebu Pacific ground personnel for their delayed baggages. - with reports from Atom Araullo and Jenny Reyes, ABS-CBN News
Welcome Google visitors! If you're looking for old Manila pictures from the 1950s to the 1970s, you've come to the right place. You'll see a collection of nostalgic photos when Manila was in its heyday. Just a quick note, I don't take credit for these photos. Somebody just sent them to me and I felt that it was important that I share it in the hopes that other people will see how beautiful Manila was and hopefully help bring it back to its former glory. Manila when it was the most beautiful city in Asia in the 1950s to 1970s The photos must have been taken in different years, from the mid 1950's to the mid 1960's, judging from the car models (though some cars are pre 1950'd). Where is O'Henry's Coffee and Donut shop in Plaza Sta Cruz (Plaza near Escolta & Reina Regente)? Can you recognize the cars? Chevy Bel-air 1958, Simca 1961-62s, Toyopet 1960s, VW Beetle 1960's, early 1960's Mercedez Benz 220... Take note, naka sapa

Just read this article on Inquirer.net about Globe complaining that the PLDT and Digitel merger would create a monopoly. PLDT chair Manuel V. Pangilinan on Tuesday hit out at Globe, accusing the Ayala group of monopolistic business practices. “PLDT is not allowed to install phone services inside malls and real estate developments (owned by the Ayala group), despite the clamor from their tenants,” Pangilinan said, noting that Globe was allowed to offer telecom services in these areas. The Ayala group, through its Ayala Land unit, is one of the country’s largest property developers. It operates shopping malls in Metro Manila, Cebu and Pampanga. It's funny how these big companies fight don't they? They talk about the danger of having a monopoly but all these talk are just of course to protect their business interest. In the end, the consumer ends up with the raw end of the deal. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Monopolies have existed in the Philippi
