3 Cost Effective Ways to Solve Metro Manila's Traffic Problem

Image
The Facebook page of ANC 24/7 is asking for its reader's suggestion on how to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem. This got me thinking, "what is the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem?" It's easy to make suggestions, what's hard is the implementation and the cost of implementation. Felix Baumgartner's Supersonic Freefall From 128k Feet

Image
After flying to an altitude of 39,045 meters (128,100 feet) in a helium-filled balloon, Felix Baumgartner completed a record breaking jump for the ages from the edge of space, exactly 65 years after Chuck Yeager first broke the sound barrier flying in an experimental rocket-powered airplane. Felix reached a maximum of speed of 1,342.8 km/h (833mph) through the near vacuum of the stratosphere before being slowed by the atmosphere later during his 4:20 minute long freefall. The 43-year-old Austrian skydiving expert also broke two other world records (highest freefall, highest manned balloon flight), leaving the one for the longest freefall to project mentor Col. Joe Kittinger. Here's the video on the test jump.

Guinness World Records told AOL Weird News that a new contender is ready to challenge the diminutive title holder. Junrey Balawing, 17, hails from the Philippines and claims to be 1 foot 10 inches tall -- almost 4.3 inches shorter than Magar -- and just shy of being the smallest man ever. "A doctor has not yet measured and verified Junrey Balawing's height so at this time, Khagendra is still the record holder," a Guinness rep told AOL Wehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifird News. Craig Glenday, editor-in-chief of Guinness World Records, said if Balawing measures up, he could make a permanent mark on mankind. Full story at AOL News .
