American Idol runner up Jessica Sanchez sang the the US National Anthem "Star Spangled Banner" twice this week. One from the Pacquiao vs Bradley boxing match and today on the NBA Finals. Here are the two songs. I find it interesting that they call Jessica Sanchez to sing and the winner of American Idol.

Jun Lorenz Mamangon, CEO of N91 Live Productions, has confirmed that the “American Idol” judge will perform in Manila on November 24, most likely at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Mamangon said he is also in talks to bring in “American Idol” runner-up Jessica Sanchez as Lopez’s front act. Lopez is set to co-headline the “Dance Again” world tour with Spanish-Filipino artist Enrique Iglesias, which will kick off on July 14 in Montreal, Canada. Lopez, who was recently named most powerful celebrity in the world by Forbes Magazine, is known for her upbeat pop songs and dancing prowess. Her signature hits include “On The Floor”, “Jenny from The Block”, and “Waiting for Tonight”. Mamangon said Iglesias may not be a part of the Philippine tour.

According to this article , Jessica Sanchez's first album is a go and it is going to be produced by Sony's Tommy Mottola as confirmed by his wife Thalia who also became famous in the Philippines in her Mexican Telenovela Marimar. Tommy Mottola is the veteran music producer for Maria Carey, Gloria Estefan and Jennifer Lopez.

Too bad Jessica Sanchez lost, but as this one article mentioned, they opted to vote for the WGWG again. Of course that's one of the controversy as to why Jessica Sanchez did not win American Idol. But perhaps this will help ease the pain.
