3 Cost Effective Ways to Solve Metro Manila's Traffic Problem

Image
The Facebook page of ANC 24/7 is asking for its reader's suggestion on how to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem. This got me thinking, "what is the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem?" It's easy to make suggestions, what's hard is the implementation and the cost of implementation. The cause of the traffic mess is the people themselves so it's only right that those causing the traffic problem should be fined and the fine should hurt. That way, the fines will pay for the cost of enforcing the law. The fines should start at P500 and goes up every week if you don't pay it within 15 days. To enforce this and prevent people from ignoring the fine. It will be tied to their driver's license or car registr...

Manila Clasico: Why the Ginebra-Purefoods Rivalry Endures

Image
I just read this great article about the rivalry between Ginebra and Purefoods. I've posted the full article below. Alvin Patrimonio battles Ginebra EVEN THOUGH THE TWO TEAMS have met in the PBA finals just twice in the last 25 seasons, and playoff encounters between them have been few and far between, the Ginebra-Purefoods rivalry has remained the most heated in the league. It has been one of Philippine sports’ most underrated phenomena, because media has rarely hyped up the matchup through the years. But there’s something special everytime Ginebra and Purefoods play each other. The large fanbases of the the two teams help. Ginebra is, of course, the league’s crowd darling, with its popularity stemming from the legend of Robert Jaworski, whose torch has been passed through the years to Gin Kings superstar Mark Caguioa. When it comes to fans, Purefoods is no slouch either; the franchise’s signature star, Alvin Patrimonio, remains the face of the team, and his quiet charisma has...

Samboy Lim Highlights

Image
Samboy "The Skywalker" Lim was considered the Michael Jordan of the PBA for his hang time. The best memory I had of Samboy Lim was when I was in school and was eating at Jollibee with my friend and he walked in with and sat behind us. And man, did he eat a lot. We ordered one champ and drink, he had like 6 Jollibee burger steak and drinks. Too bad I got too shy to ask for an autograph.

SMB 1989 Grandslam Video

Image
Of all the PBA games I've watched, the 1989 Grand Slam by San Miguel Beer remains to be the most memorable for me. The performance by players like Ricardo Brown, Hector Calma, Samboy Lim and Alvin Teng was just amazing. They played really well together and I became a San Miguel Fan after that.

47-year old Filipino Allan Caidic scores 52 vs. NBA Legends

Allan "The Triggerman" Caidic still has it. This performance by Allan Caidic reminds me of the time he scored 79 points against Ginebra back in 1991 making a record 17 three-point shots when he was playing for Tivoli.
