3 Cost Effective Ways to Solve Metro Manila's Traffic Problem

Image
The Facebook page of ANC 24/7 is asking for its reader's suggestion on how to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem. This got me thinking, "what is the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem?" It's easy to make suggestions, what's hard is the implementation and the cost of implementation. So what is the the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem and the most cost effective solution? Punitive Fines Add caption First of all, any implementation will definitely cost money, a lot of money. The cause of the traffic mess is the people themselves so it's only right that those causing the traffic problem should be fined and the fine should hurt. That way, the fines will pay for the cost of enforcing the law. The fines should start at P500 and goes up every week if you don't pay it within 15 days. To enforce this and prevent people from ignoring the fine. It will be tied to their driver's license or car registr...

Jan-Jan’s parents file libel cases vs child abuse complainants

This is just something I find bizarre. Joe and Diana Suan, parents of the six-year-old Jan-Jan Suan, have filed on libel cases before the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office earlier Wednesday, April 13, against bloggers John Silva and Froilan Grate, and child psychologist Dr. Lourdes Carandang. It also says that According to the complaint-affidavit, Joe and Diana filed a case against Grate for making it appear that Jan-Jan is an “abused child” and that his family allowed Jan-Jan to be abused in exchange for money and fame. He added that the family does not want Jan-Jan to become a “poster child” for child abuse. “Kung sinasabi po nila na n...

6 Year Old Jan-Jan Macho Dance on Willie Revillame's Show

Image
I saw this video of 6 year old Jan-Jan on Willie Revillame's show Willing Willie. The boy was dancing like a "Macho Dancer" (male stripper). To be honest, I had to pause it several times because I cannot for the life of me watch this young boy do what just did. First of all, this boy's parents should be shot. I'm sorry, I do not normally swear on my post, but what the fuck were these people thinking? Who in their right minds would teach a 6 year old boy to macho dance? And why would they even subject this boy to this kind of embarrassment? Secondly, why did Willie Revillame or his producers even let this boy do what he just did? Did you even see Jan-Jan's face as he was dancing? He was crying! And his aunt was even happy about it? I mean, I can understand about the need for the money, but no amount of money is worth destroying your dignity. You may think it's funny because it's just a young boy and he may eventually forget about it. But how would anyon...
