A friend of mine, tired of the never ending holidays in the Philippines sent me this. ============= Yehey!!!! Another holiday coming up! It sure is fun living here in the Philippines! Where in the world you can live in a country thats full of holidays? There are holidays for religious sectors, Ex-presidents & whatever they can think of! Well, at first I think of holidays as rest days, a day we spend with out families, love ones and also vacation. But what are the pros & cons behind this spontaneous holiday declarations from GMA? correct me if i'm wrong... Pros: 1. Boost consumer spending (people like to go strolling around in malls) 2. Boost local tourism like resorts 3. Boost local airline sales, since the average & the rich family would go abroad Cons: 1. People get lazy (when a person learns another long weekend coming up, they start planning for the vacation) 3:1 ... pros have it .. but the effect of the cons.. for me is kinda huge!
