3 Cost Effective Ways to Solve Metro Manila's Traffic Problem

Image
The Facebook page of ANC 24/7 is asking for its reader's suggestion on how to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem. This got me thinking, "what is the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem?" It's easy to make suggestions, what's hard is the implementation and the cost of implementation. So what is the the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem and the most cost effective solution? Punitive Fines Add caption First of all, any implementation will definitely cost money, a lot of money. The cause of the traffic mess is the people themselves so it's only right that those causing the traffic problem should be fined and the fine should hurt. That way, the fines will pay for the cost of enforcing the law. The fines should start at P500 and goes up every week if you don't pay it within 15 days. To enforce this and prevent people from ignoring the fine. It will be tied to their driver's license or car registr...

Crime Story - Jackie Chan

Image
Crime Story is a 1993 Hong Kong action-crime film directed by Kirk Wong, starring Jackie Chan, Kent Cheng, Blackie Ko and Christine Ng. Unlike nearly all other Jackie Chan films, which feature a combination of action and slapstick comedy, Crime Story is primarily a serious drama; while Chan's trademark stunts and martial arts are displayed in a few scenes, most of the film's action scenes revolve around firearms, with many people being shot and killed. Chan was allegedly uncomfortable with the dark tone, and had the film re-edited before release, causing a permanent rift between himself and Kirk Wong. The film is based on factual events surrounding of the 1990 kidnapping of a Chinese businessman Teddy Wang.

Dragons Forever - Jackie Chan

I love Jackie Chan movies. The old ones were the best. We used to rent his movies in Betamax. From Wikipedia Dragons Forever is a 1988 Hong Kong martial arts action comedy film directed by Sammo Hung. The film stars Hung, Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao. The three actors, known colloquially as the Three Brothers, had attended the famous China Drama Academy together, and became members of the Seven Little Fortunes. This is the last film to date that all three have appeared in together.[1] It was directed by Sammo Hung and another former member of the Seven Little Fortunes, Corey Yuen (aka Yuen Kwai). Yet another classmate, Yuen Wah, plays the film's main villain, while legendary kickboxer Benny Urquidez plays his right hand man. Dragons Forever was filmed between September and November 1987.

New Karate Kid Movie

There's a new remake Karate Kid movie in the works, this time instead of a Japanese martial arts master, the twist is that the kid goes to China and is bullied so he was mentored by a Kung Fu master. The Kung Fu master is played by Jackie Chan and the kid is Will Smith's son Jaden Smith. I don't really like the aspect of a remake. But I find the movie intriguing in some ways. I always like Jackie Chan I guess. Watch the trailer.

Jackie Chan Commercial

I got some responses from my post about " Weird Jackie Chan Commercial ". I said on the post, "I guess in Asia this ad makes sense. But in the US, they don't get it." If that offended anyone, I apologize. I did not mean to offend Americans. I was basing that comment based on what I read from Gizmodo , which is an American company and based on some comments on Digg . I should not have generalized. What I should have said was, "I guess in Asia this ad makes sense. But in Gizmodo, they don't get it." Here's the ad again. Cheers!
