3 Cost Effective Ways to Solve Metro Manila's Traffic Problem

Image
The Facebook page of ANC 24/7 is asking for its reader's suggestion on how to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem. This got me thinking, "what is the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem?" It's easy to make suggestions, what's hard is the implementation and the cost of implementation. So what is the the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem and the most cost effective solution? Punitive Fines Add caption First of all, any implementation will definitely cost money, a lot of money. The cause of the traffic mess is the people themselves so it's only right that those causing the traffic problem should be fined and the fine should hurt. That way, the fines will pay for the cost of enforcing the law. The fines should start at P500 and goes up every week if you don't pay it within 15 days. To enforce this and prevent people from ignoring the fine. It will be tied to their driver's license or car registr...

Anatomy of Pinoy Street Food

Image
Philippine street food consists of simple fare that is easy to prepare and eat and consequently have become the staples of street vendors. Some of the foods are sold already prepared while others are cooked on the spot. Street food is often seen as dirty, but this is mainly a problem with unlicensed vendors. While most street foods are not particularly nutritious, they are convenient, and the foods and vendor's carts and equipment are very much a part of the urban landscape. There are many types of street foods, here are certain favorites found in almost every place in the Philippines. Source

PagPag Manila Poor & Children Eat Garbage

Image
Found this video on Youtube about "Pagpag" as it was featured on CNN. The description on Youtube blames PNoy. I'm not a supporter of PNoy or any administration. In fact, I'm not a supporter of any politicians as I think they're all crap. But this "pagpag" existed even before PNoy's time. I was happening during GMA's time and probably even before Cory Aquino's time. The problem is, the poor gets poorer and the rich gets richer in the Philippines because of complete incompetency and massive corruption by all levels of government. The only thing that will solve the poverty problem is to have a growing economy that benefits everyone and an education system to will elevate the future of these children.
