3 Cost Effective Ways to Solve Metro Manila's Traffic Problem

Image
The Facebook page of ANC 24/7 is asking for its reader's suggestion on how to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem. This got me thinking, "what is the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem?" It's easy to make suggestions, what's hard is the implementation and the cost of implementation. So what is the the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem and the most cost effective solution? Punitive Fines Add caption First of all, any implementation will definitely cost money, a lot of money. The cause of the traffic mess is the people themselves so it's only right that those causing the traffic problem should be fined and the fine should hurt. That way, the fines will pay for the cost of enforcing the law. The fines should start at P500 and goes up every week if you don't pay it within 15 days. To enforce this and prevent people from ignoring the fine. It will be tied to their driver's license or car registr...

Apple sends out invitations for March 7 iPad event in San Francisco

Image
From Appleinsider . Apple on Tuesday sent out official invitations for a media event to be held next Wednesday, March 7, in San Francisco where it is expected to introduce its next-generation iPad. The March 7 event will be held at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, Calif., the same place the last two iPad unveilings have been held. The invitation features a finger pushing down on an iOS calendar icon with March 7 as the date. "We have something you really have to see. And touch," the invitation reads. The inclusion that people will "have to see" the new device is likely a reference to the high-resolution Retina Display that Apple is expected to add to its next-generation iPad. Rumors have suggested the display will have a resolution of 2,048 by 1,536 pixels, which would be twice the resolution of the 1,024-by-768 screen found on the iPad 2. In fact, the invitation itself could even be a pic...

TouchFire: The Screen-Top Keyboard for iPad

This is an interesting design project called the TouchFire. From the website . TouchFire puts the "touch" back into typing on an iPad. You can now feel where the keys are and rest your fingers on the home row, so you can type as fast and accurately as you can on a laptop. You can even type without looking at the screen. TouchFire cushions your fingers as you type, something both touch-typists and two-finger typists really appreciate. Typing on an iPad is no longer a pain! TouchFire is ultra-thin and weighs less than an ounce. It attaches to the inside of the iPad cover and folds with the cover, so you can always keep TouchFire with your iPad without it getting in the way.

More Videos of Apple iPad

I've been reading a lot of comments about the Apple iPad and I would say 90% of the comments are negative. Here's the most common complaints. 1. No Flash. 2. No multi-tasking 3. No camera 4. Tied to AT&T 5. Oversized iPhone 6. iPhone OS? It's funny how the Internet dismisses a product that hasn't even come out yet. And they they are already predicting it to fail. Sound like when the iPhone first came out. Sure, there is no guarantee the iPad will sell. Yes, a netbook may be better since it is a full computer. But have you actually used a netbook? It's small, but the performance is horrible for a full computer. If you are using a netbook for its intended purpose of e-mail, web browsing, chat, photo and video. Then yes, the netbook is more capable than the iPad since it can do Flash, video chat, etc. But the netbook is a horrible e-book reader. Who wants to read the New York Times on a netbook? I can barely read the article. Not to mention you can...

Thoughts On The New Apple iPad

After looking at the demo and specs of the new Apple iPad. This is my take on it. It's basically a big iPod Touch. But it's an iPod Touch with productivity apps like iWork designed specifically for the Apple iPad. It runs all your standard iPhone and iPod Touch apps from the app store. Games will be a big thing on this as it's like a huge kick-ass Nintendo DS. Except for the controls. The accelerometer will have you control it as you would on the iPhone. I used an iPod Touch and use the Calendar, Mail and Address Book a lot. It's certainly nice that the iPad has those as well. The iBook Store is certainly a good feature to have. The strength of the Apple mobile devices doesn't come from the device itself, but from the App Store. If you think about it, a lot of other devices has more features and are cheaper than the iPod or iPhone. But how come Apple devices outsells the competition? It's because of the App Store.
