Image
The Facebook page of ANC 24/7 is asking for its reader's suggestion on how to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem. This got me thinking, "what is the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem?" It's easy to make suggestions, what's hard is the implementation and the cost of implementation. So what is the the best way to solve Metro Manila's traffic problem and the most cost effective solution? From the Gothamist . Bruce Springsteen headlined last night's Hard Rock Calling concert in London and brought a special guest, (Sir) Paul McCartney, for the close. Yet the two rock legends were treated like rubbish when organizers cut off power during their version of "Twist and Shout" because they went past the curfew. E Street Band member Stevie Van Zandt sent out some furious Tweets, including, "One of the great gigs ever in my opinion. But seriously, when did England become a police state?" The concert's website described the incident, "With an epic finale imminent, Bruce saves the biggest surprise ‘til last, inviting Sir Paul McCartney out to close with I Saw Her Standing There and Twist and Shout, before an amplifier shutdown, the band having pushed their curfew restriction too far, forces an abrupt end to an otherwise glorious performance." Apparently Springsteen's performance was supposed to end at 10:15 p.m., but it actually went p...

From InterAksyon Photo credits The same concert promoter that brought Justin Bieber to Manila last year is bringing Jennifer Lopez to the Philippines in late November, with possibly Jessica Sanchez in tow. Jun Lorenz Mamangon, CEO of N91 Live Productions, has confirmed that the “American Idol” judge will perform in Manila on November 24, most likely at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Mamangon said he is also in talks to bring in “American Idol” runner-up Jessica Sanchez as Lopez’s front act. Lopez is set to co-headline the “Dance Again” world tour with Spanish-Filipino artist Enrique Iglesias, which will kick off on July 14 in Montreal, Canada. Lopez, who was recently named most powerful celebrity in the world by Forbes Magazine, is known for her upbeat pop songs and dancing prowess. Her signature hits include “On The Floor”, “Jenny from The Block”, and “Waiting for Tonight”. Mamangon said Iglesias may not be a part of the Philippine tour.
